Lan Ha Bay is located to the east of Cat Ba Island and to the south of Ha Long Bay. The bay consists of about 400 small and large islands forming a giant picture depicting a fairy scene. In the bay, you can see some small islands with sandy beaches at the foot of the limestone mountains. Here, you can hop on a boat to wander on the sandy beaches or swim in these pristine beaches. In Lan Ha Bay, there is the floating village of Cai Beo, where more than 200 households live in houses designed on floating platforms, and the village has been and is being studied by archaeologists at home and abroad to understand its history of existence for thousands of years. Tourists often rent boats for a 3-4 hour journey with an itinerary from Beo pier – Cai Beo Bay – visit fish farms (if buying fish, be sure to inquire about the price in advance) or visit Ba Trai Dao Island – swim, relax, and refresh at Monkey Island then return to Beo pier.

Unlike Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay has up to 139 small and charming golden sandy beaches, like inviting “blue sea straits” for tourists to explore. Many sandy beaches stretch between two limestone mountains, quiet without big waves, truly ideal bathing beaches. Under the clear water are colorful coral reefs like Van Boi Beach, Van Ha Beach… Quiet sea areas like Sen Island, Cu Island, Monkey Island… are where tourists can dive to admire the coral reefs.

On the bay tour itinerary, the group will visit Monkey Island – here, visitors also have the opportunity to meet a lively group of monkeys, very suitable for groups with young children. On Monkey Island, there is also Pineapple Beach, the most beautiful satellite beach of Cat Ba Island, with absolutely clear seawater. In front of the beach are towering mountains creating an extremely unique bay edge. However, before reaching the island, you have to cross a 2 km sea stretch as the crow flies. You can also book a room at Monkey Island Resort and spend the night at this resort to experience living on the island close to nature.
